Twitter is a very useful social media site for making connections and sharing news. It is highly recommended you make your organization a Twitter.
First go to Twitter and fill in you information in the box below the sign-in box:
Then make sure your information is correct and choose a username. Unclick the two boxes, and then click “Create my account.”
After you create your Twitter. Follow their instructions.
By finding people through twitter you put your organization out there and are more likely to get followers. The next button on the follow steps does not show up until you have followed at least three people. You can use the search bar to search for people to follow on twitter:
Then, you can follow some of Twitter’s suggested people based on certain categories:
Then you can use an email account to find more people or you can skip this step:
Finally you can add a picture and write your accounts bio. Or skip this step:
Now your account is done. You can tweet your first tweet, follow more people using the search bar, look at Twitter’s suggestions, or check out what is trending:
